Tu B'Av
a minor holiday in the Jewish calendar is one of those celebrations
finding new meaning in our modern era. It especially has made quite the
comeback in Israel. Tu B'Av was begun in the second Temple period to
commemorate the beginning of the grape harvest. It is also associated
with a full moon which symbolizes love, fertility and romance.Young
unmarried women would dress in white and dance during the festival to
attract a husband. In many ways things have not changed in over 3,000
years. And you thought Valentine's Day was unique. Hah...
