September 11, 2001 Remembrance Week Day 4...First Responders

From the Fire Department News Network...The New York City Fire Museum is the home of the largest indoor memorial for the 343 FDNY firefighters who perished on September 11, 2001.  Although ten years have passed since the most painful day in FDNY and New York City history, the memory of it remains fresh in the minds of New Yorkers.  With their large 9/11 display, the New York City Fire Museum has made it their mission to make sure that those first responders are actively honored and remembered. For more info about the New York City Fire Museum go HERE.

Their mission has not changed in ten years.  Their job is to go towards the flames as everyone else runs away to safety....

And of course....

Their sacrifice is never forgotten.

Until next time,

Elise
